About Us
Founded in 1983, Katz Accident and Injury Center offers traditional chiropractic care and acupuncture therapy to our community. Our office is located in the Excelsior District of San Francisco on Mission Street between Ocean and Geneva Avenues.
Our modern 4500 square foot office also includes a rehab center, xray facility and access to psychological evaluations and electro-diagnostic testing.
Our staff speaks Spanish, Tagalog, Cantonese, Mandarin and American Sign Language. Certified and qualified interpreters are also available.
Dr. Katz and Dr. Nghiem are providers for most insurance carriers and are on a majority of medical provider networks for workers compensation coverage.
Our office works closely with other health care providers including orthopedic surgeons, physiatrists, pain management doctors and physical therapists.
Having treated thousands of personal injury and workers compensation patients, our office works closely with dozens of attorneys in the Bay area.
Our conference room is available for patients to meet with case managers, nurse practitioners, psychologists and attorneys.

Dr. Jeffrey Katz
Dr. Jeffrey Katz graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in 1981 with a bachelors degree in human biology, doctor of chiropractic and certification in acupuncture and meridian therapy. He is also a qualified medical evaluator for the state of California and was an examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic examiners for ten years. Dr. Katz has also worked as an expert witness on medical legal cases.
Dr. Catherine Nghiem-Shum
Dr. Catherine Nghiem-Shum graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2000 with doctorate in chiropractic and South Baylo Unviersity with a masters in oriental medicine and acupuncture in 2001. As a Qualified Medical Evaluator (QME) for the state of California, she is knowledgeable in worker’s compensation. Her focus is helping those with pain and injury.
